My disappointment is immeasurable and my day is ruined. Black Friday and Cyber Monday aren't always the big event they are hyped up to be. It's hard to see through the noise and the spam to find the really good stuff worth talking about. We know. That's why we dig deep year after year to sift through the sand and find the gold underneath. But with Black Friday winding down (I can't believe it's Sunday already!) and Cyber Monday just around the corner, you have to ask yourself if there's anything that could possibly top the price drops we've already seen.
Can the deals get any better?
I mean, I don't want to toot the Thrifter horn, but our team has been killing it this past week (beep, beep!). We've dug deep into every nook and cranny of every major retailer, and if there was a good deal to find... we found it. We're still going even as I type this, and we aren't stopping for quite a while. With such amazing deals as $300 off a Vizio P-Series Quantum TV, a year of Hulu for $24, and $50 off Charmin toilet paper, what can Cyber Monday possibly give us that we haven't already seen? If Cyber Monday is a disappointment, one of the biggest reasons will be because Black Friday was already so, so good.

What Was Continues to Be
Black Friday is a misnomer. It's really Black November-into-December-and-sometimes-starting-in-October. But that's harder to say. Some of the deals we've already seen for Black Friday will continue into Cyber Monday. That's sort of disappointing because it means these won't be unique for the Monday sale event, but it's not a complete loss. After all, these are good deals. And if you haven't seen them yet or just haven't decided to take advantage of the savings yet, you're going to have at least another day to make that choice!

What even is the point of Cyber Monday anymore? It's supposed to be the day to encourage people to shop online versus going in-store on Black Friday, but so many people shop online for Black Friday anyway. I know I did. There's not a lot of incentive to go in store anymore given all the crowds and the lack of merchandise available compared to the vast warehouses available online. So if Cyber Monday stands for anything, I want it to stand for digital media. We only saw a few good deals on video games, movies, and music for Black Friday. Let's see iTunes and Steam and the other digital-only media sites stand up and be noticed.

You should, too, because one of the nice things about Cyber Monday is that it's a great way to catch up on the surviving deals you may have missed the first time around.
