The latest trend in high-end hoovering machines is self-cleaning. With the Clean Base Automatic Dirt Disposal, the i7 can operate for up to 60 days, navigating your home on its own via a Smart Mapping system, before the owner needs to remove the waste bags from the container. The Roomba i7's schedule can be as relaxed or regimented as you want—let the device operate on its own, set a custom schedule with specific rooms targeted, or ask for on-demand cleanings via app and voice controls.

RoboVac L70 Hybrid
The other trend among home-traipsing trash collectors? Double duty. Many robot vacuums are being tasked with tackling the other floor-focused cleaning chore—mopping—and the RoboVac L70 Hybrid from eufy is one that handles it admirably. Outfitted with 2200pa of suction power, automated water controls and a hearty 2.5 hour battery life, the L70 Hybrid is well equipped for its twin tasks. Owners can control the L70 via voice command as well as set virtual boundaries for the device’s cleaning path and adjust mopping power by floor surface material on the accompanying EufyHome app. Best of all, the L70's iPath Laser Navigation and A.I. Map Technology allows the mop/vacuum hybrid to remember exactly where it left off if it ever needs to return home for more juice or to be emptied.

Samsung JetBot 90 AI+
Debuting at CES 2021, the Samsung JetBot 90 AI + is one of the new smart vacuums that falls into the "self-cleaning" category—but that's just the start of its brilliance. Powered by Intel artificial intelligence, the 90 AI+ was built with LiDAR, 3D sensors and object recognition to expertly avoid the many objects, big and small, that clutter the modern home (think charging cables), and if you want to see just how expertly the vacuum does avoid them—or anything else in your home—you can, because the 90 AI+ is outfitted with a video camera that streams over Wi-Fi directly to the accompanying SmartThings app on your phone or tablet. JetBot owners can also schedule cleanings and set "no-go zones" in the app, as well as track the device in real-time, and the clever cleaner will return itself to its Clean Station charging base whenever it's finished, needs a charge or needs to empty its load.
Pricing and availability has not yet been announced to the Samsung JetBot 90 AI+.

Another CES 2021 debut, and another double-threat mop/vac hybrid, the Roborock S7 includes one impressive and soon-to-be essential intelligent feature. The Roborock S7 will be available in late March for $649.
