Texas coach Shaka Smart entered the 2020-21 season on perhaps the hottest seat of any high-major coach. Now, he and the Longhorns are Big 12 tournament champions. Texas defeated Oklahoma State and Big 12 Player of the Year Cade Cunningham 91-86 on Saturday, and the Horns seem to have gotten their mojo back after some ups and downs recently following a COVID-19 pause in late January.

Senior guard Matt Coleman dominated with 30 points, and Jericho Sims added 21 points and 14 rebounds. Kai Jones and Andrew Jones scored 13 points each, and Texas grabbed 14 offensive rebounds. Considering Oklahoma State entered the game as one of the nation's hottest teams, this was a big win.

Now, Texas will prepare for the NCAA Tournament in Indianapolis, where it will likely be a No. 2 or No. 3 seed. And if the Longhorns keep playing like this, they'll have a solid shot to make the Final Four. Smart addressed the team's performance, the pressure he has faced in recent seasons, his upperclassmen and more after the game; below is a full transcript of his comments.
